Competition Rules
The 3rd Annual Favorite Recipe Competition will be held in the St. Francis/St. Clare rooms. There will be three prize categories. 1) Favorite entrée, 2) Favorite side dish and, 3) Favorite dessert. The competition is open to everyone. Competitors must register with Kelly Brown, no later than May 5th, 6:00pm, via email at: [email protected] or call or text 1-717-668-0509. A QR code is also provided for those wishing to register online. *With your communication, please be sure to provide your name, phone number and description of the item or items you will be entering in the competition. Yes, you may compete in one or all three categories!
On the day of the competition, competitors must check in at the entrance to the St. Francis room. The entree, side dish or dessert must be presented to Lady Sandra Brown. A name card, item category and recipe description will be placed with the item(s) at the front table. Competitors must present their recipe item no later than 5:45pm on Friday, May 9th in the St. Francis/St. Clare rooms. Refrigeration and electrical needs at the front table will be provided in order to keep your item(s) hot or cold as needed.
The entrée competition will be judged by Lady Beth Downing. The side dish recipe will be judged by Suzanne Piccolo. The dessert recipe will be judged by William “Bill” Fullerton.
Winners will take home a framed certificate, $100 cash prize and "bragging rights for one year!" Runner up winners will receive a $50 cash prize and runner up certificate.
As with the last competition, we will say grace and consume all of the delicious recipes provided by the competitors.
